About Me

My photo
Matthew Haywood
I grew up in a small town in the heart of Georgia. I am pretty much just like everyone else, only one thing is different about me. When I was 9 years old, I came to realize that I have a serious problem called sin. I needed a Savior to rescue me from myself and the consequences of what my sin would bring. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." I gave my life to Jesus and followed His calling into the ministry. I met my lovely wife Jessie growing up in the church and we were married in 2007. We now have a little girl (Bethany) and a boy (Peanut, not named yet!) on the way. I would never have planned for my life to work out the way it has, but I would not change a thing for anything. I am a blessed man to have such a wonderful family and a loving church to serve at. I currently serve as the pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. I look forward to interacting with you as I share what's on my heart. God Bless!
